  Assaf Harofeh is one of the hospitals selected to treat military and defence personnel; always at the ready during times of war or peace. Upwards of 18.000 soldiers receive comprehensive medical treatment year round, both as in-patients and out-patients. During emergencies, army helicopters fly the wounded directly to the hospital, cared for en route by doctors and para-medics who have been trained in a special program. It is the unique combination of the physicians' skills and their caring approach which spurs the healing process of the youngsters who defend Israel. |
